8 A Training to Stand in Solidarity with Immigrants, 12-4 p.m.,
at the Network of Religious Communities,1272 Delaware, Buffalo.

Also: International Women’s Day – shop at Ten Thousand
Villages (5596 Main St.) – 15% of this day’s profits
will go to women’s groups.

9 Cliff Cawthon, “Behind the Blockade.” Cliff accompanied
Pastors for Peace on its caravan to Cuba last year (with a little
financial assistance from our Peace Education Fund) and will report
on what he saw and learned.

16 Rev. Kay Woike, “Global Missions of the UCC/DC.”
Kay is currently the Interim Moderator of the Western Area UCC.
She will focus on the variety of mission possibilities available.

19 The Iraq War Ends Here: 5 Year Anniversary of the Invasion. City-wide
Caravan. Speakers include Geoff Millard, Iraq Veterans Against the

the wondrous cocoa bean and bring lots of delightful desserts for
the potluck (so please bring non-dessert dishes).
